Returns & Exchanges

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Peticular, so we accept returns and exchanges.

You may:

  • Return an item in exchange for a different size
  • Return an item for a refund or store credit
  • Return a faulty item for a replacement or refund

It is important to note that:

  • If you have changed your mind, we will offer a refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase
  • Items need to be unused with the original tags attached to them so they can be resold
  • If you are returning an item of apparel that does not fit correctly, please ensure you remove all pet hair prior to returning the item, otherwise we may charge a cleaning fee to return the item to a resale-able state
  • Return shipping costs are at your own expense. Please note, if you mark the parcel as 'Return to Sender', we get charged a return fee by Australia Post. This fee will then be passed on to you. 
  • For exchanges, we cannot guarantee the size you request to exchange for will be in stock. On receiving your returned item, we will review stock available and advise you.

To return or exchange something that you ordered, please have your order number (found on your order confirmation email) and the email address you used to place your order. Then start the process by clicking HERE. This will take you through to our returns and exchanges centre.

    Peticular Returns & Exchanges Policy

    We offer refunds and exchanges within 30 days of purchase. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. If it came with tags attached, they must still be attached to the item. To complete your return, we also require a receipt or proof of purchase.

    Exchanges
    If you wish to exchange your purchased item for another size, please note this in your returns request. On return of the item to us, we will confirm stock availability of the size requested and then send you an email with any changeover costs. Once paid, we will send your exchanged item straight out to you.

    Refunds
    Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5 business days. You will receive an email with confirmation of the refund.

    Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) Refunds
    Peticular pays fees to all of our payment providers (PayPal, credit cards etc.) at the time of your purchase, which are refunded to us, in part, when we process a refund for you. BNPL services, such as Afterpay, Laybuy and Zip, are expensive services to provide and unfortunately they do not pass on any fee refund back to us when a refund is processed for you. Therefore:

    • Any refunds for purchases paid with Afterpay, Laybuy or Zip may attract a 6% restocking fee
    • For cancelled orders paid using Afterpay, Laybuy or Zip that have not yet been shipped, your refund will be the amount paid minus the fee charged to us by Afterpay, Laybuy or Zip

      Late or missing refunds
      If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at returns@peticular.com.au.

      Sale items
      Only regular priced items may be exchanged and refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be exchanged or refunded.

      Shipping Costs
      You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. If you mark the item(s) as 'Return to Sender', we get charged a return fee by Australia Post. This fee will be at the customer's expense. 

      Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping that you paid will be deducted from your refund.

      NOTE: If you have received free shipping as part of your order, and return all items for a refund, the cost that we paid to ship your order will be deducted from your refund.

      If you are returning an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

      For any change of mind or size exchanges, you will be required to pay a return shipping charge to cover the cost for us to ship the exchange item(s) back to you. The current charges are $8.95 for Standard Post or $11.95 for Express Post.
