It all started with a dog.
In 2009, Rufus arrived into our lives. He was a tiny ginger ball of floof. Equal parts cheeky, playful and naughty, he immediately took the position of top dog in the family (literally!).
We only wanted the best of everything for him.
And so in 2012, the idea of Peticular was created.
A desire to curate an online collection of dog and cat products from all over the world for the discerning pet parent.
After all, how could anyone want anything less than the best for their family; be they on two or four legs.

The online store was a hit, but what we really wanted was a store where people could touch and feel, and more importantly, dogs could try stuff on!
We always loved the Sunshine Coast, so thought - why not open one there! We packed up our lives (and Rufus!) and headed north to the land of sun, sea and surf!
We found the perfect location in the most dog friendly village on the coast, Peregian Beach.
At 9am on 5th January 2017, after approximately 3 hours sleep, we opened up our doors for the first time.

We had talked about getting a pal for Rufus for some time. Then in one of those sliding doors moments, we heard of a 9 month old Cocker Spaniel looking for his forever home. This would sadly be the fifth attempt at rehoming him in under a year.
Within an hour he was booked on a flight up from Sydney.
Alfie arrived on Christmas Eve. Fifth time lucky, hey.

With our online store growing, we were tripping over each other in the store. So it was time to grow (up!) and move our online business out to a warehouse.
This now gives us the space to not only pack and dispatch your orders same day, but also to grow our online offering in the coming years!
And that's the Peticular story, so far...
